Okay, so your title choice may not exactly be a design element, but choosing a title for any piece of content is definitely an art , and it shouldn't be overlooked. The title is often the first thing someone judges before deciding whether to click on or read your ebook, especially when the content gets shared in social media. Choose a title that is both interesting and descriptive -- that is, it should be indicative of what the reader will learn from reading the ebook.
Images and graphics in ebooks are hard to get right. The key to making them fit well is to think of them as complementary to your writing. Whether you add them during or after you’ve finished writing your ebook’s copy, your visuals should serve to highlight an important point you’re making or deconstruct the meaning of a concept in an easy-to-understand, visual way.
It works with all TreePad versions which help you to compile documents of HJT & TPD extensions and also share files, photos, hyperlinks and symbols as a lone EXE doc. The program offers a simple interface that does not offer much functionality. It does not require a learning curve and hence is pretty simple to use. You just need to track the input file of the TreePad and click on the “Start” option. Alternatively, once the alteration is over, you can also set the program to run the converted eBook automatically
Amazon recently unloaded a new version of their Kindle to the perhaps “less than eager” reading public.  With publishers losing over 3 billion dollars a year to eBook piracy, mostly due to the insecure Digital Rights Management of Amazon’s and other eBook retailer’s platforms, it makes you wonder how long publishers will keep selling their digital and print books through the giant online retailers.  But, most importantly, the reading public is changing their reading habits.  Each day, more and more readers are using whichever mobile device they have with them, so it makes having “extra” devices like the Kindle superfluous.
You'll notice we only have one "chapter page" in the template (slide three). To create additional chapter pages, or any pages really, simply right click the slide and choose Duplicate Slide. This will make a copy of your slide and allow you to drag it to its proper place in your ebook via the sidebar or Slide Sorter section of PowerPoint. You can then customize it for any subsequent chapters.

So if we know that people will most definitely be judging your ebooks by their cover, you'll want to make sure you create ones that are both visually appealing and coincide with your brand style guide. Consider how the visual revolution is playing out with sites like Pinterest cropping up and other social networks like Facebook and Google+ putting more of an emphasis on visual content , and the importance of enticing covers becomes even more evident. Make the title easy to read, include branding elements you decided on in your brand style guide, and feature an image. You'll notice that HubSpot's ebook covers , for example, follow the same layout and structure while each featuring a different relevant an interesting image.

If you’re publishing an e-book, it’s obvious you’re a skilled writer, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t other skilled writers out there. If you have a great online resource that you want to share with your followers, include an external hyperlink in your e-book. (Let that source know, too, and hopefully they’ll promo your content to their followers.)
*In order to publish an app either internally or to one of the app stores such as the Apple App Store or Google Play, you will need to sign-up for a paid developer account with the relevant vendor. The user is solely responsible for publishing apps created with App Studio including submitting app to the chosen app stores and any necessary approvals.

If you make sales, great.  You give up a small commission, but you earn the bulk of the price in profit and you don’t even get charged for having your books stored on Amazon’s site.  Ebook publishing is a great way to make money if you like to write, but there’s a huge problem – formatting your content properly to meet Kindle guidelines is really hard.
Without a doubt, ebooks are hot.  People carry around all manner of electronic devices these days and since most of them will allow you to read ebooks, few people want to bother with “real” books anymore.  There’s also a tremendous amount of money to be made selling ebooks, especially for the Amazon Kindle format.  But it can be a huge headache to format your book properly.  That’s where the Ultimate eBook Creator comes in.  This piece of software claims to be the only tool you’ll need to get your books properly formatted and up for sale.
If you're considering making your ebook available for sale through ebook marketplaces like the Kindle Store, things get a little bit more complicated . You'll need to conform to the specific ebook format of that particular store, and you'll likely need to make chan ges to the style, design, and file of your ebook. In general, you'll need to modify your ebook to embody a very simple design with few visuals and limited formatting. Publishing services like Lulu.com can make this process more easily manageable.

4.  The value of intimacy.  All other publishing systems require the author and his reader to be located inside separate spaces in the digital universe.  We have solved this problem of lack of intimacy and privacy by including an Author and Reader Forum right inside the same mobile application.  The forum has all the features of a Goodreads, but the reader and author are not relegated to a separate group within a much larger playing field of authors and readers.  The communication is between one author and his subscribed readers–not between thousands of “Goodreads Authors” and the distracted readers who subscribe to Goodreads.com.  Again, this saves the publisher and reader a lot of communication headaches as well as making the sending and receiving of digital content a private and meaningfully simple affair.   Thoreau would be proud!

9. Use dingbats or images for your scene breaks. Simple asterisks look unprofessional (although, truth be told, most readers don't care), and empty lines look accidental and can be confusing if they occur on a page break. A dingbat or an image will make your ebook stand out, and you can use something that represents an element of your book. Click here for instructions on how to create the perfect scene break using the Jutoh software. (Note: the first paragraph after a scene break should not be indented.)

When I shared the comments and feedback we had received with my students, their reactions made me know that this process was everything I hoped it would be. The students felt empowered to know they had created a piece of work that would last forever, and one student literally cried tears of joy from the positive feedback she received about her page in the book!

I’d just read a list of 10 stupid mistakes business people make written by coach Wendy Stevens, and then I was talking to my wife, Ellen, a fellow Boomer and person who is a normal consumer of digital information.  I needed to explain to Ellen how my product is providing value to my customers.   I needed to explain it in a way that would make Henry David Thoreau, the patron saint of Baby Boomers, proud.  Thoreau told people that in order to appreciate Nature (meaning the totality of existence) they must learn to “simplify” that existence as much as humanly possible.
We’re gearing up for the Book Expo America, 2016 in May.  That means we’ll be running some specials, and we’re also streamlining our unique platform for our new clientele.  As a result, there will be three types of Embellisher™ Mobile Publishing Platform installations available to self-published authors, teachers, and large publishers/distributors of eBooks.  Our clients will be able to download the complete installation and follow the directions included.  They will also have the excellent technical assistance of our developer, Bas Van Stein, who will also be working with clients to “brand” the installation to the owner’s “look and feel.”  Once licensed, the platform can be up and open for business in 24 hours.  Here’s a brief description of the three installations that will be available for download:

So, I'm trying to activate, it simply won't work. I email support, 3-4 days of no help. It was written that I'll get a response in 24 hours or less, that was false. Without activating the product, you cannot export your eBook anywhere. I'm pretty displeased. I'll be updating this review in a week or so, maybe five days or less to inform you if the problem was handled or not. As of now, definitely not worth the money.

A proper title for this software would be Microsoft Word eBook Creator because that is the only input it will accept and its quite particular about what version of Microsoft Word the file was generated in before it will accept it. For it to live up to its name Of Ultimate...it should accept far more input. Microsoft Word is not the only word processor out there.

What does it take to build a great AR experience? That’s the question we asked ourselves when creating a new augmented reality app for MWC Barcelona (formerly Mobile World Congress). To celebrate Android’s annual Partner Walk scavenger hunt, we put an AR-spin on what’s become a beloved tradition. Rather than search for enamel pins as in years past, the app prompted attendees to roam the event collecting life-sized animated AR characters, further enhancing the experience and improving engagement. As you think about how AR can help you with your next design project, we wanted to share some things we learned from building this experience and watching people use it in the wild.Download the app to try it for yourself, and read on for our tips.1. Test your assumptionsA seemingly simple interaction of “scanning” a floor decal and looking up to see an entertaining 3D animation is surprisingly difficult. Breaking down this user interaction, it actually includes a lot of parts—like the physical design of the decal, all the 2D UI, and all the 3D AR elements. We discovered that people continued to look at the floor decal unless there were multiple AR elements, like an animated dotted line, to assist the user to pan their camera phone up.2. Make it usefulThe pin hunt gives attendees a goal to find all the partner booths in the cavernous halls of the MWC conference. As we thought about the AR companion to that experience, the problem became clear: How do we point the person to the next partner booth? This question is one that AR is uniquely equipped to solve. We took some lessons from Google Maps to help us design the scavenger hunt’s AR elements. We made each floor decal unique; scanning one would tell users where they are in the Android Partner Walk, and enable us to point them to uncollected pins nearby.3. Bring delightIt was awesome to see MWC attendees’ smiles and surprise when collecting their AR Android pins. These were people in business suits, roaming the show floor between meetings, engaged with a collection experience where they were willing to walk long distances to complete the challenge. We put a lot of care in developing the 21 fully-animated 3D scenes and were glad people enjoyed them.4. Be responsiveOne of our biggest worries was a user pointing their camera at the floor decal and it either 1) not triggering at all or 2) unresponsive for an unacceptable amount of time. Anything over two seconds starts to make users question whether they have done something wrong or whether the app is buggy—both are poor user experiences. Related to responsiveness, we also felt that these AR collection interactions should be short and sweet. We wanted the attendees to see a delightful Android, collect it, and quickly orient to the next booth to visit: all in under 30 seconds.5. Learn from your mistakesLike any project, once it’s in the wild, you realize some things should have been done differently. One lesson is that we should’ve made the floor decals much larger. When placed next to our office desks, they seemed huge, but when placed in the Fira Barcelona conference hall, they looked quite tiny. Lesson learned! For future projects, we’ll be sure to test physical elements onsite. You don’t have to have attended MWC to experience this app for yourself. Download it now on your ARCore-compatible device and play around with placing the animated AR pins anywhere you like.By design director Joshua To and designer Steve Toh of Google AR/VR

The double-payments readers have to make when they buy or upgrade (see the new Oasis Kindle above) their Kindle eReader.  In addition, the inflexible (think proprietary) nature of their eReader software prevents .ePub3 titles from using all that they are truly capable of using.  For example, all Kindles cannot utilize any interactive or JavaScript interactive programming inside an eBook the way our Embellisher (TM) platform does.   Therefore, eBooks that have interactive content (think academic textbooks) cannot be used properly inside a Kindle.
Kids can learn how multimedia elements can help them tell a story as they choose from the various options and make a book. Because the page count is unlimited and the options allow for multiple types of expression, kids can experiment and really demonstrate their creativity. Completed books can be posted in iBooks or Google Play Books, sent to others via email, uploaded to Dropbox, or printed to self-assess and get feedback. Book Creator is an excellent way for kids to practice their writing skills and enjoy crafting a digital book with multiple forms of expression.

EMRE Publishing has linked this studio with two courses (one free and one paid) for authors who are new to multimedia development in eBooks. Jim Musgrave wants to train authors in the creative use of his studio, so he has created the Basic Creative Writing Course, which authors can take online for free. The curriculum is aimed at developing the skills necessary to create multimedia content, and when the author is ready he/she may enroll in the Advanced Multimedia Development Course for a membership fee. This course has an accompanying eText, Running with the Big Dogs: A Creator’s Guide to Using Electronic Media. Jim created the course with the goal to train authors how to develop multi-sensory eBooks. Thousands of royalty-free media are included in this curriculum, so authors may invest in the development inside the studio with a lot less worry about cost.
In the Brand House Book, Lindeback aims to make branding tangible by comparing it to building a house. He breaks it down into six manageable stages – dreaming, planning, starting work, designing, building and finally getting the details right – with a branding summary at the end of each stage, setting out all the important issues to think through in your brand building process.
