Oh yes, my my, Apple. One of the wealthiest corporations in the world in 2015. They didn’t get there by coddling other companies and especially other publishers. With open source, we learned to work around the Apple gorillas in the room. With the Embellisher™ system, publishers can deliver their magazines in ePub3 format to the reader directly by instant messages, bypassing the hairy brutes like Apple and Amazon. Thus, no profit is lost on selling those single copies in iTunes, so lamented by Mr. Editor back in 2012.
Ideally, our free ebook templates would magically match your brand colors. But, they probably don't; this is where you get to truly personalize your work. However, because ebooks offer more real estate for color than your logo or website, it's a good idea to consider secondary colors within your brand's color palate. Ebooks are where this color scheme can truly shine.
Measure your visitors to your online eBook using Google Analytics. Once you add the tracking code to your eBook, you can get the data from GA. The data will tell you about your audience behavior, including the number of new visitors, the turnout of the existing visitors, the specific pages they visit the most, from which web-sites, social networks, or search engines they access from, bounce rate, how long they stay on your eBook, geographical distribution of your readers and much more.
Once you have finished writing your eBook on the MS Word you can then convert the document into PDF and ePUB extensions. You need to click on the option on the toolbar “ePUBee Maker” after you have completed the text file and your eBook is ready for print. It will show you Quick Publish, Publish and Save PDF options for publishing. These options can be used for:
Create an electronic storybook. To create your story: * Write some text.* Illustrate by drawing on the screen, taking a photograph of something you see, or drawing on paper and then photographing the paper, or attaching photos from your album.* Sounds can be recorded for telling your story or as sound effects.* Layout the elements of your story (text boxes, images, and sound clips) freely by dragging them or pinching to resize.* Add, reorder, or delete pages from your book.
That said, there's a growing movement towards free and 'freemium' content on the web. And the quality of the content is often on a par with the books you'd part with cash for. Clearly nobody can afford to print and distribute free physical books, but in this age of tablets, smartphones and laptops the electronic book offers a fantastic, and very cheap, way to spread this content. If you do have some cash to spare, take a minute to browse our guide to the best graphic design books – you can be sure you won't be wasting your money.

If your eBook needs to adhere to a certain brand palette just enter the hex code of the colors you need to use to customize design elements. If it’s images that you need then you can choose from an enormous library of professional stock photos. And if you fancy yourself a bit of an illustrator, you can even upload your own drawings to give your eBook that artistic and personal touch. Best of all, uploading and using your own images is completely free!
Readers might judge a book by its cover, but you’ll also want to make sure the design around what’s inside your eBook is completely up to scratch. Even if you feel more comfortable with words than design, Canva was created for design beginners. With an amazing library of templates and easy, drag-and-drop tools, you can create a professional looking eBook from front to back.

Why can't you just attach what you have to a landing page and be done with it? Word documents, PowerPoints, and similar templates are perfect for creating your ebook, but not for delivering it. Because these templates are editable, the contents of your ebook are too easily corrupted, distorted, or even lost when moving from your computer to the hands of your future leads. That's where PDFs come in.
Also it wants a table of contents even if your book does not need it. And it is biased towards EPUB books not the more popular MOBI format. It is crash prone and extremely complex to try to use with a fairly high learning curve. It wants to duplicate the functions of a word processor as well as try to convert the file. All in all too elaborate of a program and not worth the bother. There are plenty of free alternatives out there on the internet to convert your eBook far more easily than this.
First of all, none of the files created by these apps will display quite the way that you expect them to in various ereaders, especially if you’ve got an ebook that’s got any complicated formatting such as drop-caps, tables, inset images, fancy typography, etc. The apps will try to reproduce on the screen what you were trying to create for the printed page, but often the style rules that the apps try to create make an incredible mess in one or more ereader. Everything may display as plain text on a Nook, while small images may fill the page on an old Kindle, while no images display at all on the Kindle app on your computer.
You keep pushing through... "I'm so close" ... "It's just the design to go!" ... "It really shouldn't be this hard!?" ... BUT what if this time, you didn’t have to go it alone? What if instead, you had an amazing designer and digital publishing expert by your side to create you a one-of-a-kind eBook design – from idea to design to finished product (aka: income) – without a hitch?

I am an experienced writer in novels, short stories, articles, and copywriting, as well as an experienced graphic artist with several award winning works. I'm published in young adult fiction with several novels available. I've been working with the publishing industry for five years. I have twelve years experience working in the interactive media department of a newspaper company, and have developed copy for websites and advertisements. I have sixteen years experience in writing and designing for online media. My online advertisements have won several awards from the North Carolina Press Association. I have designed websites for real estate agents, newspapers, dentists, petting zoos, martial arts schools, beauty salons, and more. I also have two years experience in formatting ebooks and print books for sale through online book stores. I thoroughly proof all files before delivering the final formatted product to my clients.
There are lots of products out there to help people get their Kindle books online. Some are junk, and some are overly complex. In my experience, Ultimate eBook Creator is the one tool that every writer needs if they want to get their Kindle book online with a minimum amount of hassle and trouble. The software is easy to install, it has all the features you need, it runs well, and it comes with great support. If you can’t find what you need by looking over the video tutorials, you can just contact Nitin directly. He’s pretty good at responding to problems in a timely manner.
Get writing! Here, you can approach each chapter the way you might write a long blog post -- by compartmentalizing each chapter into smaller sections or bullet points, as shown in the picture below. This helps you write simply and clearly, rather than trying to use sophisticated language to convey each point. It's the most effective way to educate readers and help them understand the new material you’re providing.
Now that you have successfully converted your eBook to the desired format, you can save it on your computer or you can transfer it to straight to any of the eBook readers that are connected to your computer. Calibre also helps you download eBooks, edit them and even lets you manage. Since it already has its own independent eBook reading software you do not need to download a separate one.
That same year, 2012, the final 3.01 version of ePub3 was approved by the International Digital Publishing Forum (IDPF). One of the best creations to come out of that new standard was the open source Readium Chrome eReader. It was this invention that led to EMRE Publishing, LLC and our development of the Embellisher™ Mobile Creation, Publishing and Marketing System. We have answered all of the criticisms made in Pontin’s article, so please allow me to go over them, one-at-a-time:
Hey, it’s 2015, dummy! Our readers at EMRE can connect outside anytime they wish. Our authors and publishers use links in the best ways possible: to market, to create, and to connect intimately with their readers! In fact, the ads inside our ePub3 books can be constructed so they can be accessed by Google in many more ways, thus providing advertisers with a much better user experience when interacting with their ads.
If all of that code looks scary to you — don’t worry. Though it’s essential to know some basic HTML if you want to get under the hood of your ePub file, there are other ways to create ebooks. And I’ll be talking some more about what all of that gobbledygook actually is in coming months. (If you’d like to jumpstart that process, I highly recommend Liz Castro’s excellent introduction, ePub Straight to the Point. It’s a few years old, but still does an great job of covering the basics.)
Modern Day Miracle Workers- That’s what happens when you combine the brilliance and the fanatical support that Kotobee offers. I came across this website in late 2015 with an idea for a new way of creating children’s books. I knew what I wanted the book to look like, but I had no idea how to create the programming for it. I had a major issue with Apple iBooks and Kotobee figured it out and we had the book to market in February 2016. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough and they have a customer for life in me. I just hope more people work with them so they stay in business for as long as I am alive!
The Ultimate eBook Creator software is easy to install and it runs on Windows (and Mac, if you have an emulator.) It just takes a minute or two to set up Ultimate eBook Creator. The user interface is quite intuitive, so you’ll likely not have a hard time figuring out how to use it. There’s a set of features on the left side and a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor in the right hand pane. You can format text within the right hand pane, just as you can in Microsoft Word or an equivalent program, or you can import documents directly from those programs.
If you’re an Apple user, you have the benefit of keeping all your creative projects in one place and don’t need to maintain separate accounts on different sites around the web. iBooks lets you use your AppleID and password to access the application for free. Even though it’s a standard application released with Apple products, we found this eBook publisher’s templates to be better looking and of a higher quality than those in other programs we tested. iBooks Author has many of the same features as other e-publishing software, including translation and branding tools, and you can use MOBI, PDF and HTML files in the application. One of the only problems we had with software during testing was that it had a slow loading rate – you have to wait around a bit while the app processes your input. Besides that, iBooks Author has all the support and tools you need get started with web and eBook publishing on your Mac device.
