Ebooks these days are getting immense response for the simple reason that these are easily available. There are thousands of ebooks about everything. Starting with typography, wireframes, logo designs and apps. All those books you can find in Amazon or Apple stores. But you know that there is no guarantee that book will be useful or you will learn something new. Sometimes ebooks costs from $10 to $50 and more.

When I shared the comments and feedback we had received with my students, their reactions made me know that this process was everything I hoped it would be. The students felt empowered to know they had created a piece of work that would last forever, and one student literally cried tears of joy from the positive feedback she received about her page in the book!

EMRE Publishing, LLC wants to stay ahead of its competition. This is why Jim Musgrave wanted to stay with an open source product. It’s much faster and easier to have a talented developer create an “add on” for the client than it is to lock-in the reader with proprietary code that will deprecate the user experience and cost the customer more. We are the only multimedia app publisher who allows the publisher/author to collect 100% of the cost of his/her titles once they purchase one of our publishing plans. For example, if the author wants to upgrade a present title using the studio then he/she can buy the Advanced ePub3 Production Plan for very little money.
Just like in a bookstore, an online buyer will browse through multiple eBooks and will probably judge them by their covers, so for this reason you need to make a great first impression. When you create an eBook in Canva, you can rest-assured that you’ll have access to the most eye-catching and brilliant designs so that you have the best chance of standing out.

So if we know that people will most definitely be judging your ebooks by their cover, you'll want to make sure you create ones that are both visually appealing and coincide with your brand style guide. Consider how the visual revolution is playing out with sites like Pinterest cropping up and other social networks like Facebook and Google+ putting more of an emphasis on visual content , and the importance of enticing covers becomes even more evident. Make the title easy to read, include branding elements you decided on in your brand style guide, and feature an image. You'll notice that HubSpot's ebook covers , for example, follow the same layout and structure while each featuring a different relevant an interesting image.

Note: there was some worry when iBooks Author first came out that the app’s terms of service didn’t allow users to sell their books anywhere but the iBooks store. That’s not the case. If you use Apple’s .ibook format, you can only sell through the iBooks store. All other formats have no restrictions. Read more on Apple’s FAQ here. We make all our guides in iBooks author and export as a PDF.
Now that you have successfully converted your eBook to the desired format, you can save it on your computer or you can transfer it to straight to any of the eBook readers that are connected to your computer. Calibre also helps you download eBooks, edit them and even lets you manage. Since it already has its own independent eBook reading software you do not need to download a separate one.
Jarrod Drysdale is a designer/writer who focuses his articles on getting the best out of your work. This is a sort of continuation of his previous book Bootstrapping Design, in which he collects all of his previous essays into one free e-book. Topics such as ‘think like a designer’ and ‘get out of a creative rut’ are just some of the titles on offer.

I'm the indie writer's best friend, for I love the written word and love to edit! I also transcribe manuscripts from both handwritten notes and dictated voice files. With my skills and strengths, I can make your project shine or create one that shines for you that is guaranteed to need little editing! I'm a thorough, all-around editor, not just a glorified proofreader. Look at my test scores: 1st Place and Top 10% only...none of that Above Average or Top 20% or 30% for me! I present these additional qualifications: • Professional writer for over 20 years, nonfiction (newspaper columnist) and fiction (35+ novels of romance and women's fiction published under my pen name(s), plus ghostwritten titles). • Proofreader (worked for pharmaceutical giant Abbott Labs in this capacity), eliminating errors in grammar, punctuation, missing or incorrect words, inconsistencies in names, numbers, and formatting. Although commonly believed to be the same thing as editing, these are two different things; proofreading is properly done *after* editing to ensure an error-free document. • Experienced editor, incorporating the overall document: typos, overused/misused/missing words, incorrect facts, inconsistencies, redundancies, contradictions, implausibilities, pacing, confusing narrative, pronoun misuse, adverb overuse, point-of-view (in fiction) errors, tense, transitions, clarity, syntax, and of course, grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure. *I am an all-around editor, not merely a glorified proofreader.* • With so many published romance novels to my name, I possess a thorough understanding of the genre and know what works and what doesn't. I am a "book doctor" who can clean up plots that contain outlandish elements (e.g., the billionaire who personally meets with the woman hired to clean his offices to explain her job duties to her, etc.) and revise them into a plot that is both engrossing and *believable.* • Ability to turn in a manuscript that needs very little editing due to my writing skills (and if the price is right I will submit a manuscript that's ready to be published). • Ability to make editing suggestions without changing the writer’s voice. • Courtesy sheet of suggestions to improve clients' writing, along with specific examples. • Transcription and typing (90 WPM), specifically of medical reports, dictated or handwritten text for fiction and nonfiction manuscripts, and one-on-one conversations (I do not transcribe reports with multiple speakers). • Thorough knowledge of medical terminology; qualified to do medical editing and proofreading. • Accurate and thorough service. • Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously (numerous open jobs often represent repeat clients who provide work sporadically and for whom I am not actively working). • Quality work at reasonable rates, with an increased fee for rush jobs (but I don't write for 1 cent per word and certainly not less than that, nor do I edit for 0.001 cent per word). Sqribble has been developed by Adeel Chowdhry, who is a well-known internet entrepreneur and best seller, with over ten years of experience and has previously created worldwide hits such as Pixel Studio FX which sold tens of thousands of units all around the world. He’s known for creating high quality professional solutions and I expect no less from Sqribble.
So, with all that in mind, what content can you get for free in the field of graphic and web design? You could check out this list of free books for web designers, but if it’s e-books covering a broader design remit that you’re after, a quick search on your favorite search engine will reveal hundreds of offerings, making it difficult to sift the wheat from the chaff. But we’ve saved you the trouble, so here goes...
Think of Ceros as a blank canvas. The only limit to what you can create in our Studio is your imagination. So take what you’ve learned about storytelling and forget what you’ve learned about print. Think about how you can tell stories using images, videos, audio, and animations. You’ll likely follow a similar structure to that of a traditional eBook, but the content within each section should feel a lot different.
The topic of the first anthology is war.  The title of the anthology is WAR STORIES ACROSS THE UNIVERSE. The method of the artistry will be to create stories that have an element of speculation in each one.  Therefore, they will categorized as fiction, although we will be soliciting stories by authors who have experienced war, whether while in the military or as a civilian living in a war-torn country.  These stories can be in the genres of Science Fiction, Adventure, Mystery, Alternate History, and Fantasy.
First of all, none of the files created by these apps will display quite the way that you expect them to in various ereaders, especially if you’ve got an ebook that’s got any complicated formatting such as drop-caps, tables, inset images, fancy typography, etc. The apps will try to reproduce on the screen what you were trying to create for the printed page, but often the style rules that the apps try to create make an incredible mess in one or more ereader. Everything may display as plain text on a Nook, while small images may fill the page on an old Kindle, while no images display at all on the Kindle app on your computer.
9.  The value of growing the publisher’s brand.  When a publisher purchases a tailored installation of our system, he or she receives much more than a piece of cold software.  No, we provide the human training and the motivation to realize the importance of giving independent authors the respect they deserve.  We want our publishers to send their authors to school before installing our system.  That’s why we created the online courses, online tutorials, and online webinars.  I learned when I taught through the Caltech Industrial Relations Center that the successful companies relied on training to make their teams successful.  We don’t sell our products to publishers unless they completely understand the importance of training to their publishing business.

Today's publishing focus trends to self-publishing authors and small businesses, including preparing books for publication via sites such as CreateSpace, Lightning Source, Lulu and others in both print and ebook formats. More and more writers are opting to publish their books themselves and with my extensive print publishing background, I'm uniquely qualified to help prepare your book from manuscript to finished book in paperback, hard cover or ebooks. I'm familiar with specific requirements of various common sites, as well as a great background in the print basics, unlike many "newly minted" graphic artists whose training has focused on websites and web publishing. I've very proud to say that I've recently been assisting with preparing Best Seller listed books for publication via print-on-demand sites. It's exciting to see this relatively new publishing method being used by the "big boys" as well as the more newly minted authors. And to add another feather to my cap, I just received word from one Client that his book about early colonial Cambodia was approved by the King. Client says I'm "the Royal Typesetter"... :) I'm happy to give you a time estimate for completing your project, but to me, every book is unique, and deserves a unique layout, so giving an exact time line and fixed-rate price is necessarily nearly impossible. Let's talk about the possibilities. Every book deserves a great cover, and I'm also available to help you with your cover design, from start to finish, concept to print. While I generally leave uploading of files to my clients, if you need help, I'm usually available, and I do guarantee my files to sucessfuly upload to the various sites, or I'll work on it until it does. This guarantee has even led me to step in and work with the help desks of more than one print site when their automated system thought it detected a problem, and my extensive print process knowledge assured me there wasn't one, so I contacted an actual person, and in all instances, once a live professional looked over the file, all was good to go. "Being there" for my clients is especially important to me, and I'm proud of my on-going client list here on oDesk. My clients seem to refuse to close out their accounts even when we don't have an active project. :-) During my nearly 40-years of graphic design within the printing and publishing field, I have witnessed and adapted to the many changes in technology as it relates to the industry. Yes, I'm older, but not extinct yet! So although I'm specializing in book publishing, if you have other print needs, such as stationery, magazine layout, flyers and on and on, I have done just about everything there is to do in the printing industry. Most of the changes in the print industry have been in the way that typography, photography and art meet and make their way to the printed page. We used to do this with light tables, punch-tape and exacto knives, now we use computers for the whole process. Offset presse...

There is no other eReader that has an accompanying developer studio for members built right inside the app. Although iBook, Blurb and Inkling Habitat have developer software available online, their systems are fixed and proprietary, and they take a cut from the price of every book you sell through them. That may mean more profit for the company, but it’s not conducive to independents. EMRE Publishing’s President and CEO, Jim Musgrave, is an independent author and publisher, so he wants all independents to be able to use his eReader and accompanying ePub3 Creator Studio so they can collect 97% of the profits once their masterpiece is created and uploaded.

ePUBee Maker is an amazing freeware to create eBooks on your PC. This is a Microsoft Word add-in, which is extremely easy and efficient to use. After installation, you can view the add-in on your MS Word tool bar as "ePUBee Maker". With the help of this tool, you can convert your MS Word file into following formats: ePUB and PDF. Once you have completed your text document, and your book is ready to be published, click on the "ePUBee Maker" tab, where you will find the following options: Quick Publish, publish, and Save as PDF.
It also looks up to date – the layout and interface are much more accessible than those of some competitors. Lucidpress is an online program, so you don’t download it, and you store your projects in the cloud. Some may see it as a downside to need internet access to work on projects, but it’s fairly common practice nowadays. You can sign up for a free trial on Lucidpress’ site, and you can even access the software for free if you’re a student or teacher. However, the program’s project variety is what really makes it a great option. It includes publishing formats for business reporting as well as those to help educators make learning material more engaging. There’s also a space to create personal projects like family photo albums and picture books. The service makes it easy to add images and sound to your work.
