4.  The value of intimacy.  All other publishing systems require the author and his reader to be located inside separate spaces in the digital universe.  We have solved this problem of lack of intimacy and privacy by including an Author and Reader Forum right inside the same mobile application.  The forum has all the features of a Goodreads, but the reader and author are not relegated to a separate group within a much larger playing field of authors and readers.  The communication is between one author and his subscribed readers–not between thousands of “Goodreads Authors” and the distracted readers who subscribe to Goodreads.com.  Again, this saves the publisher and reader a lot of communication headaches as well as making the sending and receiving of digital content a private and meaningfully simple affair.   Thoreau would be proud!
And now you are confused over which eBook Creation Software to use. Google is kind enough to put across fifty or so software tools for you to choose from. But that doesn’t lessen the trouble of finding out which one is better. You can’t keep trying each and every eBook creation software. So, we have tried to ease your burden by listing a few simple and efficient eBook creation software which will make it easier for you to select the right platform.
You can look at the books supported and created by epub, or a standard E-book format through iBooks to register them at iBookstore. Support for iBooks` fixed-layout format. Please note that fixed-layout format is not ideal for long texts such as novels. You can put the photo and video, music in iPhone/iPad in your book and write on it. You can record your voice into the book. You can also move, enlarge, reduce and rotate a photo in a book by touching it. The book can be shared via iTunes and E-mail. You can also create PDF document and print it.

This ePub3 Creator Studio is the only application that allows authors to create music playlists right inside their eBook. Jim was using Booktrack.com to create online eBooks with sound effects, and he wanted to include this dynamic inside his studio for authors to use. The result is this cool method of inserting the choice of songs or audiobook reads right inside your eBook. The reader simply has to click on the handy “music note” icon inside the Embellisher eReader, and the playlist appears. The only disadvantage Jim saw at Booktrack was that the reader was forced to listen to sound. Therefore, the resulting Playlist Creator Tool allows the reader to choose if he/she wishes to listen to the selections. You can see a sample of how the result of this tool looks inside the sample for the Family Love Time Capsule. (Note: you must first register to use the eReader.)
One publisher and one administrator included. All others are designated as readers and cannot create or sell eBooks in the Studio/Store. Both conventional and multimedia (ePub3) books can be created, sold and downloaded. Perfect for the self-published author who wants to have a quick way to brand him/her self and have a way to publish and market directly to readers through a cross-platform mobile platform. This installs on the server of the client with assistance of our technologist.
eBooks are not only the best platforms to keep yourself engaged digitally, but are also one of the best ways to pass on your content to a larger audience base. In today’s competitive world, it becomes imperative for the book authors or content marketers to create an eBook that appeals to the readers. While providing a free eBook of your content will help create a prospect list of clients, an elaborately prepared eBook in the meantime will also convince your customers of your prowess, knowledge and resources.

You can convert different document formats with the help of eBook creator software such as, HTML, PDF, DOCX, ePUB, etc. to MOBI, ePUB, PRC, PDF and more. A few of them even allows you to add Cover photos, author details, symbols, content table and more. A few of the platforms we reviewed mimic social media accounts – almost like LinkedIn accounts for self-publishers. These can be a great resource for finding opportunities to host your work or connect with other authors. We liked services that let you customize your profile and make professional connections so you can publish your work to as many places on the web as possible.
I'm a professional writer, editor, and graphic designer eager to put my skills to use for your projects. My six years of daily newspaper experience, four years as a freelancer, and five years as editor of my own media company have made me a skilled and versatile communicator. I know how to craft compelling stories that help readers get a better understanding of the issues and what they can do about them. And I have a special talent for helping others make their writing stronger and clearer, all on deadline. I am grateful that my career has given me the opportunity to work in graphic design as well. My real specialty is in organizing information in designs that are both appealing to the eye and are effective in getting the intended message across. Books, ebooks, magazines, brochures, reports, posters, advertisements and more are among the kinds of projects I have completed and welcome.
The Embellisher eReader provides a ton of ready-made templates for its publishers and authors. It just rolled-out its Family Love Time Capsule template for families who want a private way to exchange their movies, photos and other media to each other. Authors will also enjoy the Forum inside the Embellisher because it allows for the formation of direct communications with their readers—right inside the eReader app. Book clubs, Author Q&A, and even live presentations from brick-and-mortar locations can be included in this dynamic social gathering place. Also, it’s private and secure, unlike Facebook or all the other proprietary social websites. Your membership includes this privacy and Author and Reader Forum for instant communications. This was of prime concern to author Jim Musgrave, as he understand that an indie author’s niche readers are of special importance to their integrity and to their feedback.

I have operated, promoted, edited, and funded Leaf Garden Press for several years. We've published 12 issues of a literature and arts journal and 20+ books of poetry, fiction, and non-fiction. All LGP publications were designed and edited by a small volunteer staff and myself. Likewise, I help other small presses with their book design and publication through Kindle Direct Publishing, Smashwords, Lulu, and Amazon's CreateSpace. My personal publication credits include three books (not including 50+ ghostwritten books), several anthologies, and about 40-50 appearances in online and print magazines. I'm seeking opportunities to branch out and work with new clients as well as to network with other like-minded individuals that are interested in the publishing industry, especially those that prefer self-publishing and it's benefits over traditional publishing. --- Availability: I do my best to make myself available to my clients on a regular schedule of Monday-Thursday, 9AM-5PM PST. I am sometimes available to work Friday-Sunday. --- Publishing and formatting services: My specialties are print and ebook formats. I also help with the publication process. I love working with new authors. I'm extremely proficient with Amazon's CreateSpace, Kindle Direct Publishing, Smashwords, and Lulu. I may be able to help you with other platforms as well. Kindle Direct Publishing will have your ebook released on the Amazon Kindle store. Smashwords will distribute your book to Apple (iBooks), Barnes and Noble (Nook), Kobo, and many other retailers. This keeps the process simpler than trying to submit the book to each retailer individually and helps alleviate some of the overhead costs involved with certain retailers. CreateSpace and Lulu are print-on-demand services for those that want to publish their books in print formats and sell them via online retailers like Amazon and Barnes and Noble. My suggestion for publishing a book is generally going to be the following: Format the ebook for the best possible compatibility between devices by creating a version for Smashwords and a version for Kindle Direct Publishing. This high-compatibility formatting and the use of these two platforms means your book becomes available for almost any device that reads ebooks, and the ebook will appear relatively consistently regardless of the app/device being used to read it. For the print edition, I generally suggest Amazon's CreateSpace. This is the most direct route to having your print book sold via Amazon, the world's largest online retailer of books. --- Editing services: For editing and proofreading, I suggest the use of Microsoft Word's track changes features or the use of commenting/annotations for PDFs. This allows you to personally review my suggestions or changes and decide if you want to accept them. Editing and proofreading include checking sentence structure, grammar, punctuation, spelling, formatting errors, and much more. I pride myself on standing be...
A traditional eBook usually looks like a textbook chapter: It’s got an introduction, a list of sections, and a lot of text that follows a linear progression of concepts designed to be read in order. There’s usually some kind of summary conclusion at the end. This structure has worked with print for years. But it’s not a structure that translates well to the web.
Not really a waste of time, the reviews are good and did make me aware of these ePub creators. I used to have one that worked on my PC, most of these new ones all work from a website.  I’m still looking for the one I used to have on my PC, it could accept word or pages docs and spat out several different ePub variations. But I can’t find it again, forgot what it was called even. Thanks for adding the links.

While interactive eBooks are much more dynamic, engaging, and trackable than PDF eBooks, they require a somewhat different approach when it comes to execution. At Ceros, we see a lot of content marketers using the same approach they follow when creating static content on their Ceros projects. This approach usually results in an interactive eBook that doesn’t fully take advantage of the platform’s capabilities.

Use educational ebooks as an opportunity to connect your thought leadership with product awareness. One way to do this in your ebook content is with subtle product mentions and call-outs when you mention a problem or need in your ebook that your products or services address. How much of these should you include? The key here is balance. Make sure the educational value of the ebook makes up for your product awareness plugs. For example, in HubSpot's educational ebook How to Attract Customers With Twitter, we add to the section of the ebook that discusses scheduling tweets and monitoring responses by calling to attention to the social media publishing tool available in HubSpot's software, our paid offering. This lets readers with little or no knowledge of HubSpot's software connect HubSpot's thought leadership and expertise with its paid software.
If all of that code looks scary to you — don’t worry. Though it’s essential to know some basic HTML if you want to get under the hood of your ePub file, there are other ways to create ebooks. And I’ll be talking some more about what all of that gobbledygook actually is in coming months. (If you’d like to jumpstart that process, I highly recommend Liz Castro’s excellent introduction, ePub Straight to the Point. It’s a few years old, but still does an great job of covering the basics.)

You may come up with a slightly different process depending on how your team is organized and whether your designer is in-house or external. The point is that visuals can no longer be an afterthought in your eBooks—they should be carefully considered along with your written text. In many ways, writing an info-graphic is closer to writing a screenplay or graphic novel than a traditional long-form content piece.
Okay, so your title choice may not exactly be a design element, but choosing a title for any piece of content is definitely an art , and it shouldn't be overlooked. The title is often the first thing someone judges before deciding whether to click on or read your ebook, especially when the content gets shared in social media. Choose a title that is both interesting and descriptive -- that is, it should be indicative of what the reader will learn from reading the ebook.
Hey, it’s 2015, dummy!  Our readers at EMRE can connect outside anytime they wish.  Our authors and publishers use links in the best ways possible:  to market, to create, and to connect intimately with their readers!  In fact, the ads inside our ePub3 books can be constructed so they can be accessed by Google in many more ways, thus providing advertisers with a much better user experience when interacting with their ads.

An amazingly easy-to-use digital bookmaking tool, this app is accessible even to kids in early elementary school grades to produce and publish their own simple books or comics with images, videos, and audio. Readers can access published books via iBooks or other online sources, or books can be printed on paper. Before creating that first book, it's helpful to read the basic tutorial. Because it makes creating books an easy step-by-step process, kids are not distracted from the app's main purpose: meaningful multimedia content.

When I read the article in the Technology Review entitled “Why Publishers Don’t Like Apps,” it helped inspire me to start my business.  Besides being a Caltech guy, I truly believed apps could answer all the problems raised in this article written by the editor of the MIT magazine.  Like a lot of journalists, Mr. Pontin wasn’t really aware of the technology developed right under his proverbial “nose.”
