This file type stands for "Electronic Publication," and is the more flexible ebook formats. By that, I mean EPUB ebooks can "reflow" their text to adapt to various mobile devices and tablets, allowing the ebook's text to move on and off different pages based on the size of the device on which a user is reading the ebook. They're particularly helpful for viewing on smaller screens, such as smartphones as well as the Nook from Barnes and Noble.

6.  The value of promotion.  I wrote a separate Slideshare about the way our Embellisher™ is a simple and effective way to market eBooks.  In fact, this value is so important that I’m holding frequent webinars and teaching online courses about it.  Once again, the value is in the fact that since we’re a mobile app, the author can take it with him/her to work on the run, so to speak.  The total privacy is the factor that our competition does not have, and it makes our system more valuable to the publisher.

First of all, none of the files created by these apps will display quite the way that you expect them to in various ereaders, especially if you’ve got an ebook that’s got any complicated formatting such as drop-caps, tables, inset images, fancy typography, etc. The apps will try to reproduce on the screen what you were trying to create for the printed page, but often the style rules that the apps try to create make an incredible mess in one or more ereader. Everything may display as plain text on a Nook, while small images may fill the page on an old Kindle, while no images display at all on the Kindle app on your computer.

One Administrator can oversee publishers and collect fees for use of platform. Each assigned Publisher/author can create ePub3 books, price them, and upload them into the store using Stripe payment system. All publishers/authors/readers can upload private eBooks into the studio and eReader. This is for the self-published author or teacher with many books who wants to team-up with authors or teachers of the same genre or subject area/discipline. It is also for the large company or entrepreneur who wants to turn over marketing and eBook creation to his/her authors/publishers. I have operated, promoted, edited, and funded Leaf Garden Press for several years. We've published 12 issues of a literature and arts journal and 20+ books of poetry, fiction, and non-fiction. All LGP publications were designed and edited by a small volunteer staff and myself. Likewise, I help other small presses with their book design and publication through Kindle Direct Publishing, Smashwords, Lulu, and Amazon's CreateSpace. My personal publication credits include three books (not including 50+ ghostwritten books), several anthologies, and about 40-50 appearances in online and print magazines. I'm seeking opportunities to branch out and work with new clients as well as to network with other like-minded individuals that are interested in the publishing industry, especially those that prefer self-publishing and it's benefits over traditional publishing. --- Availability: I do my best to make myself available to my clients on a regular schedule of Monday-Thursday, 9AM-5PM PST. I am sometimes available to work Friday-Sunday. --- Publishing and formatting services: My specialties are print and ebook formats. I also help with the publication process. I love working with new authors. I'm extremely proficient with Amazon's CreateSpace, Kindle Direct Publishing, Smashwords, and Lulu. I may be able to help you with other platforms as well. Kindle Direct Publishing will have your ebook released on the Amazon Kindle store. Smashwords will distribute your book to Apple (iBooks), Barnes and Noble (Nook), Kobo, and many other retailers. This keeps the process simpler than trying to submit the book to each retailer individually and helps alleviate some of the overhead costs involved with certain retailers. CreateSpace and Lulu are print-on-demand services for those that want to publish their books in print formats and sell them via online retailers like Amazon and Barnes and Noble. My suggestion for publishing a book is generally going to be the following: Format the ebook for the best possible compatibility between devices by creating a version for Smashwords and a version for Kindle Direct Publishing. This high-compatibility formatting and the use of these two platforms means your book becomes available for almost any device that reads ebooks, and the ebook will appear relatively consistently regardless of the app/device being used to read it. For the print edition, I generally suggest Amazon's CreateSpace. This is the most direct route to having your print book sold via Amazon, the world's largest online retailer of books. --- Editing services: For editing and proofreading, I suggest the use of Microsoft Word's track changes features or the use of commenting/annotations for PDFs. This allows you to personally review my suggestions or changes and decide if you want to accept them. Editing and proofreading include checking sentence structure, grammar, punctuation, spelling, formatting errors, and much more. I pride myself on standing be...

Lucidpress provides a number of features that allow you to include interactive elements with your ebook. Embed a video with your ebook to provide a visual look at what you’re writing about. Include links within the text so people can follow them to learn more about the subject. This helps show readers that you have done your homework and want the audience to know more about it. Include scrolling text areas within your ebook to provide even more information.

It supports input file formats that is .DOC or .DOCX of MS Word which can be altered to ePUB extension. Since this program only converts from an MS Word file, it offers restricted features. In order to start the conversion process you need to go to the option that says “Add Word File/Files” and choose the desired MS Word file from your computer and then select the preferred destination/folder where you want to save your eBook. Now initiate the process of conversion of the document and get it in the ePUB extension within minutes.
EMRE Publishing is there for educational eBooks. These educational eBooks can be produced and sold for less than the price of a taco. This should appeal to teachers and students especially. As some publishers begin to charge $200 to $300 or more for individual enhanced eBooks (often to the diminishment of the tree-populations of the earth), eBook publishers can get by with under $10 per book and make valuable material more easily available through an Embellisher app in both iOS and Android formats. Those publishers who continue to charge high prices for eBooks can easily be undercut by enterprising, less profit-driven educators and entrepreneurs who use the Embellisher publishing system. Again, the open source code makes the studio much easier for academic titles to be circulated to students. Teachers will enjoy the instant “preload” feature that places a newly-created eBook directly on the student’s library interface as soon as it’s uploaded.

That same year, 2012, the final 3.01 version of ePub3 was approved by the International Digital Publishing Forum (IDPF).  One of the best creations to come out of that new standard was the open source Readium Chrome eReader.  It was this invention that led to EMRE Publishing, LLC and our development of the Embellisher™ Mobile Creation, Publishing and Marketing System.  We have answered all of the criticisms made in Pontin’s article, so please allow me to go over them, one-at-a-time:
Ebooks these days are getting immense response for the simple reason that these are easily available. There are thousands of ebooks about everything. Starting with typography, wireframes, logo designs and apps. All those books you can find in Amazon or Apple stores. But you know that there is no guarantee that book will be useful or you will learn something new. Sometimes ebooks costs from $10 to $50 and more.
Parents need to know that Book Creator is a bookmaking tool. Users pick images, place text, and choose background colors for assembling their books in a variety of formats, including comic strips. You can include images from your device's camera roll, and images can be resized and repositioned, text attributes can be changed, and books can have as many pages as needed. Once users are finished with a book, it can be opened in iBooks (iOS), Google Play Books (Android), or any number of other apps such as Dropbox, Evernote, and others. It can also be sent over email or saved to iTunes (iOS). Read the app's privacy policy to find out about the types of information collected and shared.
The double-payments readers have to make when they buy or upgrade (see the new Oasis Kindle above) their Kindle eReader.  In addition, the inflexible (think proprietary) nature of their eReader software prevents .ePub3 titles from using all that they are truly capable of using.  For example, all Kindles cannot utilize any interactive or JavaScript interactive programming inside an eBook the way our Embellisher (TM) platform does.   Therefore, eBooks that have interactive content (think academic textbooks) cannot be used properly inside a Kindle.
This program is licensed as a free tool and is a great and compelling alternative for all the expensive software available out there. It is extremely competitive even to the high-end and pricey eBook creator tools online. However, Scribus is a program that is not easy to comprehend at one go hence, you need to understand it first and get used to it which takes some time.
