This is another interactive eBook creator. The interesting part about this software is that it gives the flipping page effect when you turn to the next page in your eBook. This flip effect comes as an interesting change when compared to normal eBooks. You can add multimedia elements to your eBook files. It allows you to convert PDFs into suitable eBook files for whichever eReader you want. The eBooks can be accessed from any system and platform. You would have to download this software on your Windows, iOS or Android system before using it.
First, a note about the role design should play in your content strategy. If ebook creation is (or you plan it to be) a big part of your content strategy, it's wise to first spend some time establishing a consistent brand style guide to which all your marketing content -- not just your ebooks, but also your presentations and other marketing collateral -- adheres. This will give your publications a more professional, branded look which translates to a sense of credibility. Of course, the content itself is a huge contributing factor to the credibility and value of a publication, but even if you have quality content down pat, that doesn't mean people still won't judge an ebook by its cover ;)

You see, even if you have zero design experience, you’ll be able to create a professional looking eBook that hits all the right notes with Canva. Each multi-page layout provides visual default elements, colors and fonts, so that you always start off on the right foot. And if you want to change any colors or elements to make your eBook feel more like ‘you’ then you can! It’s easy.
5.  The value of keeping authors and readers happy.  The main problem of reading digital content, as we see at EMRE, is the fact that all those proprietors of information want you to be locked-in to their hardware, their software and their mobile systems in order to make the biggest profit.  What has resulted is more confusion and less happiness.  Not only have authors become less happy with the Amazon way of delivering their “babies,” their creative eBooks, the publishers who represent them have begun to sell directly to those same eReaders–bypassing the Amazonian experience completely.  We, too, are members of this rebellion.  We want to also make the creating and reading experience even simpler by keeping it inside one app and delivering all the content (even print) to keep the reader happy.

Get writing! Here, you can approach each chapter the way you might write a long blog post -- by compartmentalizing each chapter into smaller sections or bullet points, as shown in the picture below. This helps you write simply and clearly, rather than trying to use sophisticated language to convey each point. It's the most effective way to educate readers and help them understand the new material you’re providing.
Read the BOOK CREATOR Getting Started tutorial, and then tap the "+" or New Book icon on the main screen. Choose a book shape and tap the "+" button to add photos, video, text, and sound to the cover page, first page, and so on. Swipe to move your content around the page, and resize or rotate it as desired. Under the "i" tab, find many options for adjusting or deleting items. Every time you want to add something, just tap "+" again. Tap Pages and Edit to reorder or delete pages. When the book is done, tap on the toolbar's send icon to read it in iBooks (iOS) or share it in another way.
Modern Day Miracle Workers- That’s what happens when you combine the brilliance and the fanatical support that Kotobee offers. I came across this website in late 2015 with an idea for a new way of creating children’s books. I knew what I wanted the book to look like, but I had no idea how to create the programming for it. I had a major issue with Apple iBooks and Kotobee figured it out and we had the book to market in February 2016. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough and they have a customer for life in me. I just hope more people work with them so they stay in business for as long as I am alive!

8.  The value of being on the cutting edge of new technology.  You guessed it?  Yep, I wrote a blog about this one valuable feature of our product:  ePub3 technology.  This is important to the publisher because once your authors are trained properly about how to create ePub3 “calling cards,” they will also learn to tailor their messages to fit their genre or “brand.”  Big 5 publishers often forget that each author should be given the respect of being a brand unto him or her self.  In fact, this was one of the main reasons I switched from publishing through traditional publishers to building a platform to publish independently–with the most value in mind.  Therefore, all authors in our system are trained to understand they are promoting their creative work and their overall brand (their uniqueness).  They are not, in effect, corporate clones.  They are creative artists.

A hands-on, professional specializing in publishing with two decades of experience. Specializing in projects helping both novice and commercially-successful, professional authors get their self-published books to market: Editing and proofreading manuscripts (native fluency in both English and Spanish), e-book formatting and file conversions for Kindle, iBooks, Nook, Lulu, Kobo, Sony, Smashwords Premium Catalogue, and typesetting (interior layout) for Createspace, Lulu and other print on demand/paperbacks. File versions deliverables: ePub, MOBI, PDF, RTF. Clients creating personal memoirs for the preservation of family histories may count on a full package of services from editorial to design consultation at a reasonable rate. These are the most valuable assets I bring to your projects: creativity, discretion, impeccable time management and versatility (especially in view of limited resources and budgets). For other administrative and marketing projects, contact me to discuss project specs and fees.
There has always been a healthy market for commercial books written by experts, and this isn’t likely to change any time soon; sometimes there’s just no substitute for splashing your cash and getting high-quality content in return. That said, there’s a growing movement towards free and “freemium” content on the web, and the quality of the content is often on a par with the books you’d part cash for.
MS Word To EPUB Converter converts MS Word files (.DOC/.DOCX) to ePub format. This is the simplest form of eBook maker where you can make your own eBook for free. It has a very simple UI with limited functionalities. Click on "Add Word file(s)" to select a MS Word document from your PC. Choose an output folder where you want your eBook to be saved. Start Converting your file, and get an ePub output in no time. The progress bar shows the completion of the conversion. It has no other function apart from MS Word to ePub conversion. This is a demo version, but you can convert an MS Word document without any limitation. The only function that you can not avail is adding all the MS Word file(s) in a folder , to the conversion queue.

While your ebook is a digital publication, you'll likely be offering it as a downloadable file such as a PDF, and despite what you might think, many of the people who download will actually prefer to print it out and read it on paper rather than on a screen. For this reason, it's important to make sure your ebooks are printer-friendly. For example, avoid designs that leverage double-page, horizontal layouts that don't translate well to print. The best way to know if your design is printer-friendly? Print it yourself!
Kids can learn how multimedia elements can help them tell a story as they choose from the various options and make a book. Because the page count is unlimited and the options allow for multiple types of expression, kids can experiment and really demonstrate their creativity. Completed books can be posted in iBooks or Google Play Books, sent to others via email, uploaded to Dropbox, or printed to self-assess and get feedback. Book Creator is an excellent way for kids to practice their writing skills and enjoy crafting a digital book with multiple forms of expression.

I'm a seasoned professional with solid, practical expertise in writing, editing, content development, author services, print and electronic publications, public relations and media relations. While I'm flexible and enjoy variety in the work I accept, most of my work at present is with authors seeking to self-publish. I really enjoy helping them polish their work and bring their books into the world. I believe that every author has unique strengths and unique needs, so my goal is always to be flexible and find the best way of working with each particular author. I can provide editorial help at each stage of the process: developmental editing, line editing, copyediting, or proofreading. I can also provide formatting for both print and ebooks.
- FIXED FEE OR HOURLY RATE. NINE YEARS EXPERIENCE AS A SUCCESSFUL FREELANCER. YOUR GOALS ARE MY GOALS. My hourly rate is $35.00. "Fixed rates" available after I learn the details of the job. Upon acceptance of contract, a 50% deposit will be placed in escrow with Upwork and milestones will be established with payments made as the work proceeds. - CREATIVE BOOK DESIGNER: Formatting and design of book interiors and book covers for Amazon's KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing), Kindle, Lightning Source and Ingram Spark. I am passionate about the creation of well-designed printed books. I am aware that the "look" and "feel" of a book sells it as much as does the content. - SELF-PUBLISHING PROFESSIONAL: Nine year's experience in assisting authors to self-publish their books and ebooks. - EXPERIENCED EDITOR: I have many years' experience in writing and editing. My editing includes red-line tracking, correction of grammar, punctuation, spelling, sentence and paragraph restructuring, as/if needed, and comments to the author, as needed. - WRITER: Article writing. Ghost writing. Adding content to client's manuscripts. - ABOUT ME: I have a B. A. in journalism. I am a full-time freelance editor/ghostwriter and book designer based in Florida in the USA. I assist my clients, as needed, with the entire "self-publishing" procedure. I require excellence in myself in all of my endeavors, and I often go beyond the specified requirements of the clients that I work with to assure that they are getting the very best that their product can be. - FEEDBACK FROM A FEW OF MY CLIENTS: Editing medical manuscript, ghostwriting, book interior formatting and design book cover Jean is one of the most professional, flexible, and understanding contractors I've worked with. She has done an incredible job on our project and truly without her it would have not been possible. I HIGHLY recommend her: you will not be disappointed! Sgaglani Non-fiction Business / Self-help Book Developmental Editor Excellent development & copy editor! Very good at communication, meeting the deadlines, and superb quality of work. Will certainly hire for any other (non-fiction) book editing work we need! SDR Creative layout for book with illustrations “I totally enjoyed the process of creating the layout of this book with Jean. I was a novice to book writing, so she gave me expert advice on all aspects, from soup to nuts. She is particularly adept at guiding you through the look and feel of your book according to the subject matter. I appreciated the continuous feedback and updates. I look forward to doing more projects with her.”— andredix Underwater, the Memoir “Jean was wonderful to work with on getting my book ready for publication through CreateSpace and Kindle. Her response and turnaround times were amazingly fast. Highly knowledgeable and experienced. I love the look of my book; in addition, I felt she really cared about my project, a memoir that is close to my heart. I'm so grateful I found...
Unlike blog posts, ebooks are high-commitment pieces of content because of their length, so you need to make sure you're demonstrating the value up front in a compelling way. For instance, one HubSpot ebook is titled 15 Business Blogging Mistakes & Easy Fixes with the subtitle, "How to Fix the Most Common Blogging Bloopers." The main title is both descriptive and demonstrates value in itself, but the subtitle also makes it sound like an even more interesting read.
My favorite projects are newsletters and brochures, from full color to simple black and white - each one is like a puzzle, but you get to be creative in how you solve it! I also have years of experience creating booklets, flyers, magazines and marketing materials, business packages (letterhead, envelopes, business cards) invitations and forms. Please take a look at my Portfolio to see samples.
If you want to write an eBook, or self-publish a hard cover, I recommend this software product. I have published 2 books so far, albeit short ones at this point, but I am just getting started. Others have commented that they cannot get support on this software, but I have had no problems getting very quick answers to two or three questions I have had. Nitin was very quick to help and respond. If you are willing to watch the provided videos, they are very good at pointing out how to do things step-by-step. The only drawback I have found is that some of the videos are mildly outdated due to changes that Amazon makes so the videos in a couple of cases are not up to speed but still provide what you need to know, or you can email and get an answer quickly. I hope Amazon will let me link my books so you know that I am not just writing to be writing; I want you to see product. https://amzn.to/2FJ36VQ & https://amzn.to/2RvTdSe are actual eBooks and hard covers available too. A Dad Remembered: Because He Couldn't and We All Know One: Happenstances with a Goofball: Engage Mouth Before Brain is the other one's title. It makes importing and converting very easy. I recommend watching the informative videos on whatever you have questions about. I have finally fulfilled a little dream of mine to be published!
eBooks are not only the best platforms to keep yourself engaged digitally, but are also one of the best ways to pass on your content to a larger audience base. In today’s competitive world, it becomes imperative for the book authors or content marketers to create an eBook that appeals to the readers. While providing a free eBook of your content will help create a prospect list of clients, an elaborately prepared eBook in the meantime will also convince your customers of your prowess, knowledge and resources.

I'm the indie writer's best friend, for I love the written word and love to edit! I also transcribe manuscripts from both handwritten notes and dictated voice files. With my skills and strengths, I can make your project shine or create one that shines for you that is guaranteed to need little editing! I'm a thorough, all-around editor, not just a glorified proofreader. Look at my test scores: 1st Place and Top 10% only...none of that Above Average or Top 20% or 30% for me! I present these additional qualifications: • Professional writer for over 20 years, nonfiction (newspaper columnist) and fiction (35+ novels of romance and women's fiction published under my pen name(s), plus ghostwritten titles). • Proofreader (worked for pharmaceutical giant Abbott Labs in this capacity), eliminating errors in grammar, punctuation, missing or incorrect words, inconsistencies in names, numbers, and formatting. Although commonly believed to be the same thing as editing, these are two different things; proofreading is properly done *after* editing to ensure an error-free document. • Experienced editor, incorporating the overall document: typos, overused/misused/missing words, incorrect facts, inconsistencies, redundancies, contradictions, implausibilities, pacing, confusing narrative, pronoun misuse, adverb overuse, point-of-view (in fiction) errors, tense, transitions, clarity, syntax, and of course, grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure. *I am an all-around editor, not merely a glorified proofreader.* • With so many published romance novels to my name, I possess a thorough understanding of the genre and know what works and what doesn't. I am a "book doctor" who can clean up plots that contain outlandish elements (e.g., the billionaire who personally meets with the woman hired to clean his offices to explain her job duties to her, etc.) and revise them into a plot that is both engrossing and *believable.* • Ability to turn in a manuscript that needs very little editing due to my writing skills (and if the price is right I will submit a manuscript that's ready to be published). • Ability to make editing suggestions without changing the writer’s voice. • Courtesy sheet of suggestions to improve clients' writing, along with specific examples. • Transcription and typing (90 WPM), specifically of medical reports, dictated or handwritten text for fiction and nonfiction manuscripts, and one-on-one conversations (I do not transcribe reports with multiple speakers). • Thorough knowledge of medical terminology; qualified to do medical editing and proofreading. • Accurate and thorough service. • Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously (numerous open jobs often represent repeat clients who provide work sporadically and for whom I am not actively working). • Quality work at reasonable rates, with an increased fee for rush jobs (but I don't write for 1 cent per word and certainly not less than that, nor do I edit for 0.001 cent per word). What does it take to build a great AR experience? That’s the question we asked ourselves when creating a new augmented reality app for MWC Barcelona (formerly Mobile World Congress). To celebrate Android’s annual Partner Walk scavenger hunt, we put an AR-spin on what’s become a beloved tradition. Rather than search for enamel pins as in years past, the app prompted attendees to roam the event collecting life-sized animated AR characters, further enhancing the experience and improving engagement. As you think about how AR can help you with your next design project, we wanted to share some things we learned from building this experience and watching people use it in the wild.Download the app to try it for yourself, and read on for our tips.1. Test your assumptionsA seemingly simple interaction of “scanning” a floor decal and looking up to see an entertaining 3D animation is surprisingly difficult. Breaking down this user interaction, it actually includes a lot of parts—like the physical design of the decal, all the 2D UI, and all the 3D AR elements. We discovered that people continued to look at the floor decal unless there were multiple AR elements, like an animated dotted line, to assist the user to pan their camera phone up.2. Make it usefulThe pin hunt gives attendees a goal to find all the partner booths in the cavernous halls of the MWC conference. As we thought about the AR companion to that experience, the problem became clear: How do we point the person to the next partner booth? This question is one that AR is uniquely equipped to solve. We took some lessons from Google Maps to help us design the scavenger hunt’s AR elements. We made each floor decal unique; scanning one would tell users where they are in the Android Partner Walk, and enable us to point them to uncollected pins nearby.3. Bring delightIt was awesome to see MWC attendees’ smiles and surprise when collecting their AR Android pins. These were people in business suits, roaming the show floor between meetings, engaged with a collection experience where they were willing to walk long distances to complete the challenge. We put a lot of care in developing the 21 fully-animated 3D scenes and were glad people enjoyed them.4. Be responsiveOne of our biggest worries was a user pointing their camera at the floor decal and it either 1) not triggering at all or 2) unresponsive for an unacceptable amount of time. Anything over two seconds starts to make users question whether they have done something wrong or whether the app is buggy—both are poor user experiences. Related to responsiveness, we also felt that these AR collection interactions should be short and sweet. We wanted the attendees to see a delightful Android, collect it, and quickly orient to the next booth to visit: all in under 30 seconds.5. Learn from your mistakesLike any project, once it’s in the wild, you realize some things should have been done differently. One lesson is that we should’ve made the floor decals much larger. When placed next to our office desks, they seemed huge, but when placed in the Fira Barcelona conference hall, they looked quite tiny. Lesson learned! For future projects, we’ll be sure to test physical elements onsite. You don’t have to have attended MWC to experience this app for yourself. Download it now on your ARCore-compatible device and play around with placing the animated AR pins anywhere you like.By design director Joshua To and designer Steve Toh of Google AR/VR

If all of that code looks scary to you — don’t worry. Though it’s essential to know some basic HTML if you want to get under the hood of your ePub file, there are other ways to create ebooks. And I’ll be talking some more about what all of that gobbledygook actually is in coming months. (If you’d like to jumpstart that process, I highly recommend Liz Castro’s excellent introduction, ePub Straight to the Point. It’s a few years old, but still does an great job of covering the basics.)
Flip PDF is a suite of powerful eBook publishing software for eBook authors to create cross platform eBooks with extraordinary reading experience. With Flip PDF, you can import a PDF of your eBook, add any interactive features and build a responsive page flipping eBook without a line code. Just in a matter of minutes, you are able publish animated eBook across multiple channels. All computer, tablet and smartphone devices will now be able to access your edition.
Ideally, our free ebook templates would magically match your brand colors. But, they probably don't; this is where you get to truly personalize your work. However, because ebooks offer more real estate for color than your logo or website, it's a good idea to consider secondary colors within your brand's color palate. Ebooks are where this color scheme can truly shine.
You want as many people to read your ebook as possible. That’s why you need to provide your ebook in multiple formats, making it accessible to others on almost any device. The ebook creator software from Lucidpress lets you export your ebook as an image file or in PDF format. You can also create a published link or embed the ebook within the Lucidpress document viewer. These options give you a variety of ways to grow and reach your audience.
Writing your book was the hard part. Now its time to bring your book to life. In the world of publishing, this means having a solid design, a clean and easy-to-read text layout, and a style that matches the message of your book. It means having a professional and eye-catching cover that will attract your target audience. It means finding someone who is both an expert designer and has a deep passion for book design. Fortunately, I am both of those things. I am no stranger to hard work, tight deadlines, and going above and beyond to create the perfect design. I’ve worked professionally in the publishing industry for more than 8 years. I spent the first 3.5 years working for a self-publishing company formatting the interior and cover designs for paperbacks, hardcovers, and eBooks in every genre imaginable. For the past 5 years, I have worked for a math company creating/designing textbooks for publishers such as National Geographic Learning, Pearson Education, and Cengage. Each of these publishers demands a high level of professionalism and expertise from every design that I create. I am an expert in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Word. I have extensive experience with typography, image manipulation, and page layout. I am very familiar with the requirements for both print and eBooks being published through Amazon KDP, Create Space, IngramSpark, and others. I am also very familiar with the PDF requirements for a book or project that is being sent to a large-scale printer, such as Lighting Source or Quad Graphics. Your project is important to me. If you’re not happy with the design, neither am I. From start to finish, I will work with you to create the design that you want for your book. No matter the genre, book size, or page length – every book deserves to look amazing. Let’s get started with yours.
Over 27 years experience providing complete contract publishing services, including editing, design, typesetting, printing and binding. Now offering ebook formatting (ePub, Nook, Kindle, etc.). I also offer design and formatting for self-publishers who intend to submit their books to online book printers such as Createspace, KDP, Lightning Source/Ingram Spark, Lulu, or Blurb. I can upload your book to your printer for you if you prefer. I can advise you if you would like to do the layout, setup, and uploading yourself.
